Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Hollo when you use our products.

01

Accepting these terms

Hollo is a product operated by Supernine FZE ("Hollo", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Supernine FZE. By creating an account or using any part of Hollo, you agree to these terms and to our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree, don't use Hollo. If you're using Hollo on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

02

Eligibility

You need to be at least 17 years old to use Hollo. If you're below the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.

You may not use Hollo if you've been previously suspended or banned, or if applicable law would otherwise prevent us from offering Hollo to you.

03

Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your authentication credentials safe, and for the accuracy of the information you give us during onboarding. Tell us if you suspect your account has been compromised.

You confirm at sign-up that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. Hollo records the timestamps of those acceptances and of your onboarding completion as part of your account record.

04

Your content

You own the content you post on Hollo — messages in space channels, discussions, and threads; direct messages; reactions, replies, mentions, forwards, and pins; uploaded files including attachments, profile avatars and banners, space avatars and banners, custom emojis, and other supported file objects.

By posting content on Hollo, you grant Hollo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, transmit, display, and reformat that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. The license ends when you remove the content, except where we've already shared it (for example, with other users you sent it to) or where we need to retain it for legal, safety, or technical reasons described in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for your content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to post, and don't post anything that violates our Community Guidelines or applicable law.

05

Spaces and space owners

Spaces on Hollo are user-run communities. They can be organized into divisions, sections, channels, discussions, and threads. Discussions on Hollo are not normal chat rooms — they are containers for thread streams.

If you create or moderate a space, you're responsible for setting and enforcing rules within your space (within the bounds of our Community Guidelines and applicable law), managing ranks and permissions, handling invites and bans, and curating the experience for your members.

Hollo reserves platform-level authority — independent of any space — to review reports, remove content, restrict features, take action against accounts, and suspend or remove spaces where necessary.

06

Acceptable use

Don't break the law on Hollo. Don't harass, threaten, or impersonate others. Don't post hate-driven or identity-based abuse. Don't sexualize minors. Don't post sexually explicit content. Don't post content involving the non-consensual sharing of private information about other people. Don't run scams, fraud, or coordinated spam. Don't try to break Hollo itself — no scraping at scale, no exploiting bugs, no probing for vulnerabilities outside of an authorized program.

Our Community Guidelines describe these rules in more detail. Violations may result in content removal, message deletion, space bans, blocks, account suspension, or account termination.

07

Reporting

Hollo includes reporting flows for messages, users, and spaces. Reports submitted through these flows are routed to the Hollo Safety Team for review — they are not delivered to space owners as a formal report inbox.

Reports are submitted with structured information including a category and subcategory, any profile elements involved, applicable PII-related checklist items, an optional note, and a good-faith confirmation. Hollo may capture snapshots of the relevant content and names at the time of the report so reviewers have the context they need.

08

Enforcement

Depending on what we find, enforcement may include deleting messages, banning users from a space, applying user-level blocks, changing the moderation state of a report, or initiating an account deletion workflow. We try to scale our response to the seriousness and pattern of behavior, and may act immediately for severe or ongoing harm.

09

Account deletion

You can ask Hollo to delete your account from your account controls. Account deletion is not an instant hard-delete — Hollo runs a deletion workflow with a 30-day grace period followed by scheduled cleanup. Some information may be retained temporarily, or longer where needed, to complete the deletion safely, enforce safety and our Community Guidelines, comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, or preserve system integrity.

When the grace period ends, your profile data — including your display name, username, avatar, banner, bio, and email — is cleared and your account is anonymized. Messages you've posted in spaces and direct messages are kept so conversations stay intact, but they're no longer tied to your identity.

After deletion, your user record is marked as deleted in our data model.

10

Changes to Hollo

Hollo is an evolving product. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We try to give notice for changes that materially affect how you use Hollo.

11

Disclaimers and limits

Hollo is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we don't make warranties about availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure against every threat.

To the extent permitted by law, Hollo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits to be fully waived; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by law, Hollo's total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Hollo in the 12 months before the claim or AED 100.

You agree to cover Hollo for claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your content, your use of Hollo, or your breach of these terms or the rights of others, to the extent permitted by law.

12

Force majeure

Hollo isn't liable for any failure or delay in providing the service caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including outages or failures of internet, hosting, or third-party infrastructure providers, power or telecommunications failures, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, or changes in law. While such an event continues, our affected obligations are suspended.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and surface material changes in-app and by email where appropriate. Continuing to use Hollo after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or your use of Hollo, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Sharjah, UAE have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute. Before starting any legal action, we encourage you to contact us at contact@supernine.company so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
